Sep. 28, 1999 A Grays Harbor hearing on Oct. 4 will deal with flood related issues. In particular the request would exempt certain accessory and pole buildings from elevations and flood-proofing requirements, and allow encroachments including fill, new construction, substantial improvements and other development in cases where a registered professional engineer or architect provides a certification demonstrating that the encroachment does not result in any increase in flood levels during the occurrence of the base flood discharge.
