The Chehalis Basin Education Consortium

The Chehalis Basin Education Consortium (CBEC) is a joint project of Educational Service District 113, the Chehalis River Council, the Chehalis River Basin Land Trust, State and Federal Resource Agencies, and local school districts.  The CBEC promotes watershed education through water quality monitoring, stewardship activities, and watershed-based classroom activities.  Schools throughout the basin participate in monitoring and tree planting events.

The CBEC sponsors an annual Student Congress at Grays Harbor College, where students can exchange data and ideas, learn about watershed issues from resource professionals, and identify activities to restore the watershed.
