Chehalis River Council volunteers monitor water quality, macroinvertebrates, river flow, and habitat conditions at four sites in the Upper Chehalis Basin. State-of-the-art equipment was purchased with grant funds from the Department of Ecology Centennial Clean Water Fund, and lab work is donated by the City of Chehalis. Our data helps identify how land use affects the health of our streams, and provides important educational opportunities for volunteers and students.
