Subject: Citizens Advisory Committee Meeting
In case I have not met some of you yet, I am Janel
Spaulding, the watershed facilitator for the Chehalis Basin Partnership.
Part of my focus for this new position will be to conduct outreach activities
with the local community and I see the Citizens Advisory Committee as being
an important source of information and ideas. After speaking with a couple
of committee members I would like to organize a meeting for the Citizens
Advisory Committee. I know this committee has not met in a while but I
would like to begin creating an outreach plan, possibly using or revising
some of the citizen involvement techniques created in 2001.
I would like to invite the Citizens Advisory Committee
and anyone else who’s interested in outreach or the future of the committee
to our first meeting on Friday, June 27th at 12:30 at the Lucky
Eagle Casino, the same meeting place as the Chehalis Basin Partnership. I
envision this first meeting lasting maybe 15-30 minutes. I would like to
have an informal meet and greet and hear whether the Citizens Advisory
Committee would be willing to become actively involved in helping to revise
or re-create an outreach plan that will be a main focus of my job. I also
have some new ideas for outreach activities that I would like to discuss
either at this first meeting or a future meeting.
Here is a brief agenda for our first meeting:
- Introductions
- Involvement of Citizens Advisory Committee in outreach
plan and activities
- New outreach ideas
If you have any questions regarding directions to the
Lucky Eagle Casino or if you feel anything should be added to the agenda
please don’t hesitate to contact me. I look forward to seeing you at the
first meeting!
