DETAIL ON SPECIAL PRESENTATION

Data Management Coordinator The Governor's Joint Natural Resource Cabinet (JNRC) has established the Salmon and Watershed Information Management (SWIM) project to coordinate salmon recovery data information. The project coordinator will advise the JNRC on policy and strategic issues related to information management on a watershed scale as well as facilitate progress on information access, process and procedures, and appropriate data documentation. Additionally, the SWIM coordinator will oversee the Natural Resources Data Pool.

Natural Resources Data Pool Accurate data is essential to properly managing the state's natural resources including salmon listed under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). Data projects important to salmon recovery have been identified through the Joint Natural Resources Cabinet (JNRC) and salmon scorecard process. The Natural Resources Data Pool will provide funding to individual agencies for high priority projects relating to salmon recovery. The data pool will be coordinated in the Governor's Salmon Recovery Office (GSRO) with input from the JNRC.

Lynn Singleton serves as the Salmon and Watershed Information Management Coordinator for the Governor's Salmon Recovery Office
