Dear Ms. Holleman:
This letter is being submitted to inform the Department of Ecology that the Chehalis . Basin Partnership, in its role as the Local Planning Unit for WRIA 22/23, intends to apply for funding authorized under HB 1832 to evaluate Chehalis Basin stream flows and develop instream flow recommendations. The Chehalis Basin Partnership reached consensus on submitting this letter during its November 16, 2001 regular meeting.
The Planning Unit is currently discussing the issues and processes related to instream
flows. We anticipate submitting an application to Ecology early in 2002.
Grays Harbor County serves as the Lead Agency for the Watershed Planning effort in the Chehalis Basin. We would appreciate if you would confirm receipt of this letter on or before the December 1, 2001 deadline by responding to Lee Napier, Deputy Director Community Development, Grays Harbor County, 1 00 W.
