Dear Interested Parties
The Chehalis Indian Tribe, Thurston county, Grays Harbor County and the Washington State Department of Transportation will be holding a public information meeting Tuesday, June 24, 1997 at 7:30 p.m. in the Chehalis Room of the Lucky Eagle Casino on the Chehalis Indian Reservation with interested citizens to discuss the feasibility of improving the access from State Route-12 to the Chehalis Indian Reservation.
County, tribe, WSDOT and consultant representatives will be present to discuss the feasibility of roadway improvements prior to design and to receive input from citizens in the area.
The project will study roadway safety and address current road standards. Reviewing existing as well as new routes is part of this feasibility study. Since the existing accesses are subject to closure due to periodic flooding from the Chehalis and Black Rivers, the study will also determine the feasibility of improvements to keep the road open more often.
We are looking forward to meeting with you. If you have any questions or comments before the meeting or require special accommodations at the meeting please call (360) 754-4580 by June 18, 1997. Citizens with hearing impairments may call the County's TDD line at (360) 754-2933,
Sincerely,
Dale Rancour
County Engineer
