WHEREAS, Lewis County is the oldest County in the State of Washington, having been established as a part of Oregon Territory. and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Lewis County have continued their pioneering spirit of self determination, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to honor that spirit of determination to exert our local citizens' interests into state and federal rule making, and
WHEREAS, such local input to protect our customs, culture, and economic stability must, of necessity, be based upon recognition of those conditions, NOW THEREFORE.
IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the Lewis County Board of County Commissioners hereby adopts our Declaration of the Customs, Culture, and Economic Stability of Lewis County Washington as herein attached.
