LOCATION:

The proposal is along the existing roadbed of Anderson Road. Grays Harbor County's jurisdiction extends from the intersection of State Route 12 and Anderson Road to the south approximately 1, 107 feet and from the centerline of the current alignment of Anderson Road west to the extent of the right-of-way width, within northeast quarter of Section 3, Township 15N., Range 4W., and within the southeast quarter of Section 34, Township 16 N., Range 4W, W. M., Grays Harbor County, WA.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION AND PUBLIC HEARING FOR A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT Case #2002-0066

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Chehalis Tribe has submitted an application for a joint Shoreline Substantial Development with Conditional Use and Flood Development permit to realign and improve Anderson Road with a new roadbed and the installation of box culverts. The project is in Grays Harbor County, Thurston County and the Chehalis Indian Reservation.

The Grays Harbor Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on the application at 7:30 P.M. on Monday, April 1st, 2002 in the Commissioners' Meeting Room, County Administration Building on the corner of North Main and Broadway in Montesano, Washington. All persons are invited to attend and speak for or against the request. Any person desiring to express his or her views, request additional information, or be notified of the action taken on this application should contact Jane Hewitt at the Grays Harbor County Planning Division in writing.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that the environmental impacts of the proposal are being considered as required under the Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA) and a Mitigated Determination of Non-significance (MDNS) is being considered for this request. All interested persons or agencies are invited to comment on this determination. Contact the Grays Harbor County Planning Division to register comments, obtain copies of the SEPA Checklist, or to request information on the appeal procedure.

The purpose of this notice is to obtain factual information concerning this proposal that would influence the Administrator's decision. Any person desiring to express their views, request additional information, or be notified of the action taken on this application should contact Jane Hewitt, Grays Harbor County Planning Division, 1 00 W. Broadway Ave. #3 1, Montesano, WA 98563, in writing by March 22, 2002 for the SEPA determination and by March 29, 2002 for the joint Shoreline Substantial Development with Conditional Use and Flood Development permit.
