NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

For the Thurston County Hearing Examiner

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Thurston County Hearing Examiner will hold a public hearing on August 12, 2002 during the morning session beginning at 10:00 a.m. regarding the following project: y
Case: AAPL 020135
Appellant: Lorenne Hornby and Kathleen Burkenbine
Request: Appeal of an environmental threshold determination for a Revised Mitigated Determination of Nonsignificance related to a Shoreline Substantial Development Permit to reconstruct a portion of Anderson Road. The administrative appeal indicates that the RMDNS is inadequate to mitigate the significant impacts related to this project and that a determination of significance should have been issued, requiring an Environmental Impact Statement. The appeals state that the proposed project will increase flooding in the vicinity causing flooding to homes in the area. In addition, the appeals indicate that the environmental review did not evaluate cumulative impacts, require an Erosion Control and Drainage Report, and that proposal violates the Thurston County Flood Control Ordinance. The RMDNS is subject to review under TCC 17.15 Critical Areas Ordinance, TCC 17.09 State Environmental Policy Act, and TCC Title 19 Shoreline Master Program for the Thurston Region
