Chehalis Basin Council Public Meeting March 27

OLYMPIA The next public meeting of the Chehalis Basin Council is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 27, at the Chehalis Indian Reservation Casino Conference Room, Lucky Eagle Casino, on Route 12 near Oakville.

The meeting agenda includes approval of an intergovernmental agreement that establishes the council and an agreement on designating a lead agency for administering watershed grants.

The council comprises county, city, tribal and state-agency representatives as well as others with an interest in Chehalis River basin water issues. The group is working on collaborative approaches for flood reduction, fisheries, recreation, water quality and water quantity.
