Help Kickoff Washington WaterWeeks in Chehalis!

Join in celebrating our rivers as part of Washington WaterWeeks when the Chehalis River Council (CRC) stages a Chehalis Watershed Revival at the Matrix, Sunday August 30th, starting at 4 p.m.

During this 5 hour event attendees will have a chance to see and hear informative presentations and displays by other basin organizations, and view "Southwest Washington's Coolest Conservation Diorama." Live music will be provided by: Super Duo, Space Pedestrians, Greg Schneeman, Grandpa Olaf's Polka Party and Old Djinn Swag. The Master of Ceremonies will be Erik Rader.

Attendees will have a chance to enjoy a great menu at the Matrix Coffeehouse on NW Prindle in Chehalis. This musical benefit was conceived by two artistic Centralia College student CRC volunteers, Josh Cisneros and Jenny Holderman, as a way to bring youth and adults together in recognition that it is crucial that Washington residents join in working for the protection of our most valuable resource - the water that sustains us, nourishes our souls and keeps our salmon and wildlife healthy.

The event is part of the many activities scheduled around the state August 29 through October 4th as part of the 15th annual Washington WaterWeeks.

For information call the CRC at 273-6137 from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m., Mon. thru Fri.
