Source Water Assessment Program

The Department of Health is having public hearings in Spokane and Tumwater on
the Source Water Assessment Program which is required under the recent federal
Safe Drinking Water Act amendments.  Assessments include source water
protection area delineations, inventories of certain contaminant sources and
determinations of susceptibility of drinking water sources to contamination.
The results must be made available to interested parties.
