Aberdeen water on, conservation still urged

- January 19, 1999 By The Daily World Staff The Aberdeen Daily World

City of Aberdeen officials were able to turn the water supply line from the Malinowski Dam headworks back on this morning, as turbidity dropped to acceptable levels overnight. Citizens are still asked to conserve water over the next couple of days, however, to allow depleted reservoirs to refill.

"Looks like there will be some scattered clouds and showers over the next day or so," said Community Development Coordinator Rich Brinkman this morning. "We're keeping an eye on it, but for now, it looks like we're in good shape."

Brinkman noted that water levels in the city's reservoirs were still a little low, and said that the city was still urging water customers to conserve until the reservoirs could be refilled.
