Grays Harbor Land Use Hearings

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETINGS

TO GATHER CITIZEN VIEWPOINTS CONCERNING

LAND USE AND DEVELOPMENT ISSUES

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that two public meetings have been scheduled to gather citizen viewpoints concerning land use and development issues. These meetings will focus on the area from Malone to the City of Oakville. We want your thoughts on how the county should develop in the 20 to 50 years, what you like or dislike about your community, and what kind of changes you would like to see implemented.

These meetings are part of ongoing work to update and amend the land use element of the County's comprehensive plan. We expect these meetings to generate many divergent viewpoints. Your viewpoints will be integrated along with information from other sources to produce a draft plan. We hope to have the draft plan completed by the end of summer. The draft plan will then be brought back to the community meetings for refinement.

The public meetings will be held Tuesday, June 8, 1999 and Tuesday, June 15, 1999 in the Sharon Grange located at the intersection of South Bank and Riding Roads. The meetings will begin at 7:00 PM and end at 9:00 P.M.

This notice has not been sent to all persons within the focus area. Please let your friends and neighbors know about the meeting. All persons are invited to attend. If you are unable to attend but desire to express your views, request additional information, or be notified of subsequent meetings you may contact Robert Witzl by mail at the Grays Harbor County Planning Division, I 00 Broadway West, Suite 3 1, Montesano, WA 98563. Electronic mail may be sent to Robert Witzl at: rwitzl@co.grays-harbor.wa.us
