CENTRALIA LANDFILL


The Washington Department of Ecology wants your comments on the draft cleanup action plan and remedial investigation/feasibility study (RI/FS) report. The Centralia Landfill, 1410 South Tower Avenue, is an approximately 55-acre, municipal -solid waste landfill owned by the City of Centralia and operated by the Centralia Solid Waste Utility. The landfill stopped accepting waste in April 1994 and Lewis County now operates a transfer station at the landfill site. The cleanup action plan lists cleanup goals for site surface water and ground water, and presents a selected site cleanup remedy.
