The Draft Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) on the Centralia Wastewater Treatment Plant, published on October 13, 1999, is available for public review. Copies may be obtained from or reviewed at the Centralia Utilities Department, at 1401 West Mellen Street. Copies are also available for review at the Centralia Public Library, at 110 South Silver Street, and the Centralia Community Development Department, at 118 West Maple Street.
A public informational meeting will be held on Thursday, November 4, 1999, from 5pm until 7pm, at the Centralia College cafeteria. The meeting will provide information on the findings of the Draft EIS. A court recorder will be available to take comments on the Draft EIS at the meeting.
Written comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until 5:00pm, Friday, November 12, 1999.
The Final EIS, which will include responses to all citizen and agency comments, is anticipated to be available in the winter of 1999-2000.
